By downloading, installing, or using the SkinSense mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
About SkinSense
SkinSense is a skincare routine tracker and ingredient conflict detection app. The App allows you to:
- Scan product barcodes
- Create skincare routines
- Scan ingredient labels
- Detect potential ingredient conflicts
- Contribute to a community product database
Eligibility
Age Requirement:
- You must be at least 13 years old to use the App
- If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian permission
Account Responsibility:
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
- You are responsible for all activities under your account
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
Acceptable Use
You Agree to:

- ✅ Respect other users and the community
- ✅ Comply with all applicable laws
You Agree NOT to:

Product Information:
- Product and ingredient data comes from third-party sources and user submissions
- We do not guarantee accuracy, completeness, or currentness of information
- Product formulas may change without our knowledge
- Always read product labels before use
Conflict Detection:
- Conflict alerts are based on general skincare knowledge
- Your skin may react differently than predicted
- Some ingredients may be safe together for your specific skin type
- Always patch-test new products
No Liability:
- We are not responsible for allergic reactions, skin irritation, or any adverse effects from products
- Use products at your own risk
- Discontinue use and consult a professional if you experience any adverse reactions
User-Generated Content
What You Contribute:
When you scan and submit ingredient information or product details:
- You grant us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, and display that content
- This helps build the community database
- Your personal information (email, name) is NOT shared with the content
Content Standards:
- Must be accurate to the best of your knowledge
- Must not violate any laws or third-party rights
- Must not contain harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content
- We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms
Intellectual Property
Our Rights:
- SkinSense app, logo, design, and code are owned by us
- Protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws
- You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer the App
Your Rights:
- You retain ownership of your personal routines and data
- You can export or delete your data at any time
Camera and Data Usage
Camera Access:
- Used only for barcode and ingredient label scanning
- No photos or videos are stored without your permission
- Camera is only active when you use the scanning feature

Termination
We May Suspend or Terminate Your Access If:
- You violate these Terms
- You engage in fraudulent activity
- You abuse the App or harm other users

You May Terminate:
- Delete your account at any time in Account Settings
- All your data will be permanently deleted within 30 days
Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE":
- We do NOT guarantee the App will be error-free or uninterrupted
- We do NOT guarantee accuracy of product or ingredient data
- We do NOT warrant that the App is free of viruses or harmful components
- We do NOT guarantee specific results from using the App
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, we are NOT liable for:
- Skin reactions, allergies, or adverse effects from products
- Inaccurate product or ingredient information
- Data loss or corruption
- Unauthorized access to your account
- Loss of profits, revenue, or business opportunities
- Indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages
Maximum Liability: Our total liability shall not exceed $100 or the amount you paid us in the past 12 months (whichever is greater).
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time:
- Changes will be posted in the App with updated "Last Updated" date
- Material changes will be notified via email or in-app notification
- Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance
- If you don't agree, stop using the App and delete your account
Apple App Store Terms
If you download the App from the Apple App Store:
- These Terms are between you and us, not Apple
- Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance
- Apple is not liable for any claims related to the App
- You must comply with Apple's terms and policies
